Our goal is to conserve, protect, and improve the only year round cold water trout fishery in Alabama. Our volunteers work to improve the fishing experience on our "home" trout water, the Sipsey Fork of the Warrior River. We work in conjunction with other TU chapters, government agencies, and other conservation organizations toward this goal.
We meet bi-monthly to plan and organize activities that will benefit the water and its fishermen and to share information and experiences with others. Special emphasis is placed on projects that educate the public, of all ages, about the importance of clean water and fishery conservation.

Sipey Fort Stream Improvement: Update 9/10/13
Alabama Power has awarded the contract for "Angler Access #4 Improvements" and the contractor began construction this week. So, the area around the parking lot at the Birmingham Water Works power house will be an area to avoid until this work is completed, hopefully by the end of October all will be finished if weather permitting and easier access to the river will be available for those wishing to access the river right at the parking lot.
